Health Care "Reform" | Cap and Trade (Tax) | Stimulus and Jobs | Financial Supporters | Abortion

Is Gene Green a moderate, as he claims?
"The speaker (Nancy Pelosi) and I get along personally, but she knows that I have a district to represent," says Green. "I'm always frank with her. I've never been a 'yes person.'"
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/7175092.htmlOr is he just as radical as Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama according to how he voted?

Decide for yourself.
He's a 100% Democrat Party guy - No Matter How Radical They Have Become. Amazingly, he has voted with the Democrats including Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi over 98% of the time regardless of how his vote could affect the people of his district, not to mention the rest of the country. But why listen to you?
He supports forcing you to show ID even to enter his "public" town hall meetings BUT he says no one need show ID to get to vote to register to vote or cast a vote in a Federal election.

and Green's latest town hall -

03/21/2010 - "The time for health reform has come and I cannot ignore these benefits to our district when health insurance premiums are growing at three times the pace of wages."
Really?
Medicare plans destroyed, forces people to buy government approved insurance or pay a huge fine, government takeover of doctor-patient decisions, massive increase in insurance premiums and healthcare rationing on the way.
Vote: Obama and Nancy Pelosi - Yes

We've lost 3 million jobs so far, unemployment is still over 9.5% after 18+ months of this administration and we're over $14 TRILLION in debt.
Houston Chronicle, Sep 21, 2010 ... "I wish I could tell people in my district the stimulus has helped, but they're looking for the impact -- and so am I," says Rep. Gene Green ..., D-Houston, whose largely blue-collar, Hispanic-majority congressional district has been promised almost $256 million that so far has generated only 126 direct jobs.

Gene wants your gasoline, gas and oil bills to go up - way up; and for the oil and chemical industry jobs to be shipped overseas due to extreme regulation and your electric bill to "necessarily skyrocket" (as Obama said HE wanted)

Representative Green voted YES
06/26/2009 Energy and Environmental Law Amendments ("Cap and Trade") HR 2454 Y Bill Passed - House (219 - 212)
Green says Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., who heads the panel, is trying to entice him into voting for the bill by giving some refineries favorable treatment in the administration's "cap and trade" system, which is expected to generate hundreds of billions of dollars over the coming years. Under the plan, companies would pay for the right to emit carbon dioxide, but Green and other lawmakers are angling to get a free pass for refineries in their districts. "We've been talking," Green said, referring to a meeting he had with Waxman on Tuesday night. "To put together a bill that passes, they have to get our votes, and I'm not going to vote for a bill without refinery allowances."
